I usually enjoy books from this series but this whole book was kind of surreal Nothing really seemed to fit and everything just seemed a little bit wrong I like Valdez He's always been a main character and provided comic releaf So I miss himBut I like Rafe Why on earth did his character change so much just because he's no longer a dog? Even the author realizes she changed his character drastically becxause there's a throw away line where Rafe admits that Valdez was a persona he wore while in the dog suit For five years he pretended to be someone he wasn't? I find that hard to believe It's easier to believe that the author just wanted to write a new character without creating oneI also usually dislike Jerry He isn't good for Glory He always wants to control her He never supports or believes in her She can do better No woman deserves a man who thinks she can't survive without him So why does Glory stay with Jerry when Rafe is her best friend? Rafe believes in her supports her and protects her without coddling her He's also way hotter than Jerry or at least he is written that way Glory should be with her best friend the guy she never keeps secrets from In every book there has been something Glory couldn't tell Jerry because she knew he'd overreact She can always tell Rafe the important things I don't understand why the author tried to dance around all that in this book I just feel bad for Glory She tries to be a strong woman and then she just isn't Finally even Glory was a bit frustrating in this book In the first book she was determined to be on her own two feet Jerry gifted her a new car and she refused it She kept her clunker But in this book she willingly took a free car free insurance and free gas? All from her worst enemy? And yet she believes she is strong and independent just because it didn't come from Jerry? Most of the books I love have strong independent women as main characters Those are the ualities I admire when I read but Glory just doesn't have that vibe any So while parts of the book were enjoyable most of it was just disappointing

From St Clair is a vampire with man trouble Between her on again off again lover Jeremy Blade smoking hot rock star Ray Caine and former bodyguard turned apartment mate Valdez there's enough man candy around to make even a gal with a liuid diet feel a sugar rushGlory's got no time to enjoy it though considering that she's in the middle of planning her best friend's wedding And let's not forget that there happens to be a hit on her head thanks to when she took out a techno freak billionaire Now between planning a bachelorette party and dodging stakes Glory has to decide which man she really wants before her love life meets an early graveThe ReviewVampires Have More to Love was lacking in a few regards Glory comes across as unsure and gun shy; the confidence in the previous books absent Most of the time Glory can be over the top immature and needy this time wasn’t any different There is always a secret and with that comes lies She doesn't know when she's gotten in over her head or when to call those who will help In the end it's part of her undoingShe did have some redeeming moments like when she stood up for herself in the fight with Rafe's ex Then there were the Energy Vampires and the old adversary returned from the dead This book wasn't short on action for Glory keeping her busy with bridal shower arrangements for her best friend Flo and a new budding romance with Rafe While the first part of the book started out rough and had a soap opera feel The last half saved the book the action came and the plot twists really improved the entire tone Glory's wit and inexplicable ability to always land on her feet eventually make a return The underlying story was satisfying and reminded me why I will continue with the series

NOTE I have not read any of the first five books in this seriesGlory St Clair has one hell of a messed up life She’s been around the block for a few centuries but still hasn’t learned to be completely self sufficient Glory has recently something that happened in an earlier book left her long time love Jerry and opened her own vintage clothing store to make it on her own But as soon as Jerry strolls back into the picture she turns to him for love She also is playing a dangerous flirtatious game with her one time body guard Rafe When Jerry leaves town on business all hell breaks loose in Glory’s life She is nearly killed blackmailed starts an affair with Rafe drugged threatened beaten up and has to deal with Rafe’s demonic ex wife Yet she manages to keep it together while planning her best friend’s weddingVampires Have More to Love reads like a soap opera Glory can be over the top immature and needy She drove me nuts at times She proclaims that she wants to make it on her own yet leans on a man at every turn And she cannot stay out of trouble Some of it is not her fault but most of it is She isn’t smart and tries to “fix” things without trusting those that could help her the most She keeps secrets and lies to cover her butt but in the end it’s all part of her undoingThe last uarter of the story saved the whole book for me Glory realizes what is truly important to her and how her life should be She finally does what she needs to in order to set her life down the path she chooses If you are looking for a light hearted romp with a soap operatic plot line you will enjoy Vampires Have More to LoveMy Rating 3 stars Liked it there were a few issues recommend BPlease visit my blog at for my full review

HmmmI'm still not sure what I thought about this book Honestly the constant boinking with Jerry for the first little bit combined with recreational drug use was making me a little sick Then he left and I thought Glory was actually having a break through and would make some progress in her eternally stagnanted love life I was very surprised when she actually did it with Rafe and was cheering her on until she realized it was all a sham and she really loved Jerry who she does it with at the drop of a hat whereas we've never really seen her intimate with anyone else she ogles At which point the whole thing felt degrading and once again sickeningthough I was hoping she'd fry Mara there at the end Oh wellOne other thing; once she'd realized it was wrong and she was totally screwed as far as Jerry was concerned and yet kept at it still I was kind of hoping she'd finally give in to Ray 'cuz we know she's never going to have the chance now I mean if you're going to hell in a handbasket why not actually deserve it? Bah

Gerry Bartlett the creator of the Glory St Claire books which have had my head spinning from day one in this the sixth book in the adventures of Glory St Clair Her life or undeath never stops or gives her a break She is the owner of Vintage Vamps a clothing store she is planning her best friend’s bachelorette party Oh and let’s not forget that there’s a hit out on her for killing a Vamp murdering billionaire She is being attacked from all sides and must still manage to handle everything that keeps her in body and soul With all that and three never give up hot guys chasing after her affection it’s a wonder she has time to swig a bottle of synthetic blood I am excitedly looking forward to Glory’s next adventure and wonder where it will lead her and her friends I took this book from my local library for enjoyment and review

A really ridiculous book that also manages to be really dullA vampire juggles feelings for two supernatural dudes and arranging a party for someone while complaining the whole time about how FAT she is oh my god life is so UNFAIROkay first of all if the average woman in the US is a size 12 isn't calling that weight fat all the time insulting most of your readership? Especially us ultra fatties over that size?Second let's make it a rule that any main character in any story doesn't get to complain that they're unattractive if five or people in the story obviously want to bone them

I’m really starting to hate these books I really wish at least one of her problems would go away permanently before new ones are added Would make for a less confusing and enjoyable story The readers wouldn’t get uite so fed up with Glory that they don’t want to continue the series This one starts out nice with Glory happy with Jerry The worst problem was Aggie whom I can’t stand showing up to help with Flo’s wedding Creating a cool competition between Glory’s bachelorette party and Aggie’s bridal shower Then a ‘convenient’ excuse pops up for Jerry to have to leave town so Glory can mess things up again Spoilers below Yep This is another Glory is a slut story only this time she tries to blame it on the demon that accidently got inside her during a fight that Richard tried to stopI’d wondered why his religious connection was introduced to the series But the demon only seems to be able to suggest things to Glory and make her hot and bothered She can resist at times when she wants so it seems like just an excuse to do what she wanted to do anyway And the long scene at the end with Rafe about Jerry was so mushy it was nauseating For awhile I thought the cool ghosts were back I love Emmie and Harvey But apparently Ms Barlett though they should be the ‘situation’ to drop I’m happy for them but I’ll miss them Also at the beginning of the series Glory was so excited about opening a vintage clothing shop and making it a success Now she barely seems to be there except when it’s needed to be a place for problems to happen andor to use the back room for uickies with the ‘guy of the hour’ What about all the problems she had getting enough good employees to cover the 24 hours shifts? Suddenly that has disappeared That website with the vampire kills should have been turned over to the authorities The government may not believe in vampires but those are definitely photos of people’ murders with Westwood involved and his estate and business can be investigated Even without bodies it shows that something odd was going on But then there’d be no reason for Westwood and Simon to blackmail her By the end when Glory confesses to Jerry and he walks out on her I was bawling But Flo's 'exorcisum' saved the day and at least Glory and Jerry are still talking But if Glory doesn’t start to get her act together in the next book I’m outta here Fave scenes there’s a few the demon fight in Glory’s shop taping the fake video and Aggie’s party games

Real Vampire Have More to Love by Gerry BartlettParanormal Romance Dec 7th 20104 starsLight hearted and zany this hilarious vampire series is a hoot Readers who enjoy the paranormal romances books by Kerrelyn Sparks will definitely enjoy this one tooGlory St Clair is a vampire who declared independence from her handsome maker Jeremy Blade Jeremy is the love of Glory's life He wants to marry her and shower her with his riches but unfortunately he also smothers her Jeremy turned Glory into a vampire in the 1600's and his old fashioned views of women are stifling Glory realizes that she has to try to stand on her own 2 feet so she has separated from him But her good friend Flo is getting married and her husband to be has asked Jeremy to be his best man In addition a past love interest named Ray is also coming to town on unrelated business and Jeremy and Ray hate each other Plus her best friend and ex furry guardian Rafe has now transformed into a good looking guy who is sending out flirtations to Glory And she can't but help notice how hunky he is But Rafe's ex wife is bent on causing trouble for her When she thinks things couldn't get worse she is attacked by 2 humans bent on murdering her because she had to kill their father a vampire slayer in self defense And she has been put in charge of throwing bachelorette party Will Glory survive the stress?Glory grows on you I liked that she is not the typical thin heroine and has plenty of curves Glory is a bit self conscious about her looks and mourns that she was turned vampire when she feels she was overweight Because of this she lacks some self confidence and is very relatable I also liked that she is very girly and feisty Her main sueeze Jeremy is very sexy and I enjoyed them together The entire casts of characters are also fun to read Even the villains are caricatures that are amusing in their own ways But this story also had some surprising twists that kept it fast paced and upbeat I really wanted to know how the long relationship between Glory and Jeremy would turn out I felt they were good for each other but has issues that needed to be resolvedThis is an entertaining series Glory's love life is a mess and it is fun to read her trying to juggle all her relationships and death threats uirky optimistic and unabashedly cheerful this book will lighten your mood and keep you wanting Reviewed by Steph from the Romance Book Club
