Originally reviewed for Love Bytes Same Sex Book Reviews with a copy provided by the author publisher for an honest reviewThis story is only 37 pages long and it came through on my Kindle in a strange font that I wasn’t used to My first thought was what the heck is this? Then I read the first pagewhich I feel the need to uote here “Prologue Now My name is David Medwin I’m twenty one years old Something bad happened to me These are the last precious moments of my existence”I know right? How could you not keep going? The story is skillfully told through sections which occur both now and four years ago In the now we follow along through a very short period of time discovering about what has happened to David as we goDuring the alternating pieces that take place four years ago we learn about who David Medwin is We meet his friends We discover his secrets We’re there when he discovers things about himself and we’re there when he meets a young Greek boy named AriWow this story was really powerful What I as a reader took from it is you should never put stuff off No one is promised tomorrow For such a short story it left me emotionally drained and a little devastated You know what the end is going to be right from the first line of the book but it doesn’t make it easierIn my opinion you do not need to read the first book in the series to read this novella The first book appears to have a heterosexual leaning so it isn’t one we reviewed here at Love Bytes It doesn’t matter This one definitely stands on its own This is an amazing story by an amazing author The voice of the story is so different from what I’m used to reading I couldn’t put it downI highly recommend it

I received this ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest reviewI give this very surprising and moving novella 5 starsThis novella certainly has the WOW factor I was amazed how such a short story about David could pull at the heart strings so strongly I was expecting tears because I was aware of David’s fate and how the story would end what I didn’t expect was so many feelings to surface My surprise was that my emotions weren’t focused on how the story ends but the struggles David was facing at such a young age When I finished reading this I felt uite sad as David didn’t get to live the life he should have had mostly because he was frightened to embrace who he really was and because of his fear of others reactions He didn’t get to experience real love and had a lot of missed opportunities Although I was saddened by the story and certainly needed tissues by the end I also found it uite inspirational I found myself reflecting on my life and finding no regrets I hope this story reaches out to other young people who are struggling to find themselves and encourages them to be strong and make decisions based on what is best for themI couldn't put this beautifully written story down and read it in one sittingI can't thank Petra March enough for allowing me to read this novella for a review she is such a fantastic emotional writer who is able to write characters that jump out of the page at you she makes them and their feelings struggles happiness etc feel very real Once again Petra you have excelled yourself thank you x

I have yet again been blown away by the poetically brilliant mind of Petra MarchA short seuel to the novel A Veil of Glass and Rain we are given an intimate portrait of a sweet young man whose life is taking a dramatic turn The writing is exuisite raw and painful David's story begins as it ends with a jolt of heartbreak As the present and past flutter in and out with his consciousness a story of self discovery and regret emerge Although it is a novella there is a lifetime of emotion perfectly fitted in this small package I recommend reading the first novel as it is a most extraordinary read that will give a detailed background on the secondary characters here but it can also be read as a stand alone I cried I'm not a sappy reader and I rarely find an author gifted enough to invoke my inner crybaby with such fierce skill but this is no ordinary author This author is an artist I couldn't put this down and I cannot wait to see what this talented young woman has for us in the futureHighly recommend to lovers of dramatic reads that leave you grief stricken but wanting

David Medwin is not unlike many young people in that he wrestles with thoughts of confusion and self doubt As he strives to live his life well while coming to terms with the contradiction of who he is and who he wishes to be he allows indecision to dictate his life's journey Author Petra March is a truly gifted writer The way in which she has crafted this raw and genuine story exhibits rare talent Lovers of the written word will enjoy Petra's writing long before they fall in love with her message Exuisitely penned brilliantly told All the Skies I will not See packs a powerful punch in this short and touching novella which has earned the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

As I write this review it is with tears in my eyes and my heartThis book jumps back and forth from the present to the past as David remembers parts of his life the parts that hold his heart It was a uick read novella but it was also very heart felt and I guess the message it gave me is that life is too short and fleeting to leave things unsaidI encourage everyone to read this book but make sure you have a few tissues handy for the endingI received and arc of this book in exchange for and honest review

This book is a short spin off of book one A uick telling of David's life Dennis is already older when the book starts and falls in love with Lily He shortly there after meets her friend Avi and comes to terms with new feelings Unfortunately life ends before he can admit to truth to everyone else It was nice to learn about David since he was mentioned so much in the previous book This was a sweet read
