I think this book could have really been so much better with a whole different dialogue I can forgive almost any plot if the dialogue and characterization is enjoyable But this particular book was lacking in both areas It was hard for me to think of this book as New Adult because of the immaturity level of the characters They sounded like they were in the 12 or 13 year age bracket with the occasional F you thrown in to prove they are adult I also don't really enjoy the whole reason you were born prophecy trope I can roll with it if it is interesting but I didn't really think this was Eveour main character was created with the blood of Archangels running through her veins and is meant to be the tipping point for the side of Heaven in the continuing battle between Heaven and Hell It never explained what she was supposed to be doing but toughening up and learning to fight This was another of those annoying situations where no one will tell her anything but everyone at one point or another has something snotty to say about the fact that she is ignorant This absolutely irritates me and it also irritates me that Eve doesn't have enough backbone to stand up to any of her protectors gargoyles and to point this outThe Archangel Michael whose genius idea the whole thing was treats Eve with disrespect and rudeness and also doesn't tell her anything It is all very cryptic and for me annoying The possible love interest Asher is for some reason forbidden to pursue Eve and there never is any significant reason given It seems pretty obvious that they will work their way around that issue and the reason for it will be something epic they have to mate for life etcetc I am just guessing here Speaking of mates when a female gargoyle and a male gargoyle become mated the female whose wings were once light grey change color to match the wings of her mate Also her eye color changes to match the color of her mate's eyes Good grief Female gargoyles also don't have the right to vote Just kidding One last thing Gargoyles of course are beautiful

Han just her life Can Asher and Eve fulfill their destinies or will their love destroy everything Revelation is a journey of self discovery love and sacrificeRevelation is the first full length book within The Revelation Series Intended for mature readers 18 due to language mild violence and sexual situatio. As a longtime lover of the Paranormal genre it is always refreshing to find a story that isn't a re write of something that has already been done Yes there are parts of it like other books there is romance attraction evil to be fought cookies to be baked but there is also lots that is new I won't spoil any of it by giving away spoilers but suffice it to say that I was drawn into this story from the very beginning So many uestions that need answering so much to find out and the best part for me was that Eve was on that journey of discovery with me When a load of information and pressure gets dumped on her she actually reacts She doesn't just accept it oh it's all okay it's my role in life after all as has happened in other books No she actually has a hissy fit and needs time out to sort things out for herself She doesn't make an instant decision about anything that should reuire time and space to reach clarity This makes her a fantastic character to read aboutThere are too many characters to gush about each and every one but what I will say is that everyone should have a Callen in their lifeSo much detail is given in this book it makes it a delight to read I love Randi Cooley Wilson's writing style and can't wait for Restraint book 2 to be released in August I'm also running over to her website to read some from Asher's point of view see link belowIf you like Paranormal Romance Urban or Fantasy then I can completely recommend this book If you haven't read one before then this is a wonderful one to start with There is mystery intrigue and a gasp inducing shock that occurs sometime during the book but I won't say when so I don't spoil anything Възвишение you like Paranormal Romance Urban or Fantasy then I can completely recommend this book If Mermaids you haven't read one before then this is a wonderful one to start with There is mystery intrigue and a gasp inducing shock that occurs sometime during the book but I won't say when so I don't spoil anything

4 I've got you Siren stars I used to love paranormal romances but lately i lost a little bit my wayI had so many time to read a book from this genre and when i saw it on NetGalley it was like it was a magnet that was pulling me toward itAnd damn me that was soooo good I freakin' loved itIt was having almost every kind of paranormal creatures inside of itAngels demons vampires werewolves Gargoyles To be honest this was my first time of Gargoyles but i think that for now on they will be my most favorite creatures out thereI was always fascinating by those mysterious creatures but when they are bound with urban fantasy the compination is smokin' hot But let me explain you some things about the plot A DIVINE SECRET A LOYAL PROTECTOR A FORBIDDEN LOVE Eve was an ordinary girl a little bit sheltered from her aunt who was in her first semester on college From the moment that she turned eighteen the nightmares started to chasing her almost every night in her dreamsbut except of the awful creatures that was changing her there was a gorgeous man who swore that he will protect her alwaysAnd then she met Asher St Michael and her reality changed in many waysAsher was a cocky gorgeous bastard who made Eve losing the ability to speak when she was near to him He was making her hot and bothered but at the same time she just wanted to punch his cocky smirk from his awesome face Asher was all the god damn time once hot and once cold with her and that was driving her crazyUntil she started to find out the truthEve was being a part on a bigger plan her presence was very precious in many levels and Asher was her protector He was bound to protect her in every cost and whatever other relationship could have terrible conseuences for both of them and even peopleSo they will have to ignore their huge attraction and to stay focus on ther purposes “As you overheard you’re simply an assignment My interest in you is professional I just want to make that clear I apologize if I gave you a different impression” Asher’s tone is professional and curt Pain floods me I don’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing just how deep that cuts I school my features “Mission accomplished You mean nothing to me” I say Will Eve accept and embrace her part on this plan from above???How will she face all these changes around her???And will she manage to ignore her attraction for Asher???Will Asher manage to stay just professional with her???And what about Cage and his own plans???This story had so many things insideIt had tender moments hot scenes sexual tension that was driving me crazy a very interestng plot a forbidden love and very interesting charactersIt was a wonderful mix of reality and fantasyAs for Eve and Asher??? God i loved them bothThey were having such an intense connection that it was impossible to ignoreYep Eve was losing her ability of speech near to Asher but damn she could be a feisty little thing when she was mad and i liked her when she became like thatThis girl had a big burden upon her shoulders and she had to change all her life in order to succed on her purpose As for Asher??? Yep he was cocky and very self absorbed but he had a great reasonHe was sending mixed signals all the god damn time and you wanted to slap him and kiss him all the damn time But he was so loyal and very protective of Eve and i liked this ability of him “When I first saw you I was completely captivated I realized there was something different about my bond to you even before our first interaction I knew you were my fate and I was created to protect and shelter you I swear to you I will do that” he promises I also adore all the St Michael clan even Kenna They were uniue in their own wayEspecially Callan and Abby were so wonderful I also adored this pink pixie Ari with all of my heart and damn i didn't like the end at all “He’s your savior and you’re ours” And now i'm dying to find out everything about those people and their universal planAnd God i need Asher and Eve together Pretty please???? ARC kindly provided via NetGalley for the exchange of an honest review

45 Protection at ALL cost StarsRevelation is the first book in The Revelation Series It’s a YA paranormal read and it exceeded all of my expectations I was craving a YA paranormal book I wanted something that would just suck me in and basically be a huge mystery to me and I got itEve is in college and she’s your typical Heroine in a YA paranormal book She’s smart innocent and has a group of girlfriends she loves Slowly she realizes her simple life isn’t so simple any She encounters two men Gage and Asher Both are handsome rich and mysterious Gage is a charmer and makes it’s obvious he is interested in Eve Eve takes him in strides but doesn’t really pursue him Now Asher he’s something different Asher is the kind of Hero you find in a YA paranormal read He’s broody kind of mean and very loyalAsher is to protect Eve at all cost the only thing is Eve doesn’t know why Eve is in great danger but that’s all she knows So much happens in this book I love that it’s in Eve’s POV and I love that we have no idea what’s going on I love figuring things out with the Heroine because that keeps me interestedEve continues to uestion Asher but he doesn’t really give her anything to work on I love the tension between Asher and Eve it’s crazy awesome addictive and I love how the author kind of drags it out but it’s good I promise Eve and Asher feel this crazy pull towards each other but it’s very frowned upon to act on it He is there to protect her ONLYI love the secondary characters Asher brothers and Eve’s suit mates It keeps the story going and a bit lightI haven’t liked a YA paranormal read like this since the Lux series What a gem I found

Originally posted at My Rating 3 and a half starsThis book started off very interesting I love mythology based stories it gets even better when it's mentioned that one of the creatures that are part of this story are gargoyles Having obscure creatures be a big part of a story is amazing to seeThe writing style is a bit too descriptive for my taste but that was lessened by speeding up the audio narration One thing the author does well is create tension and angst between Eve and Asher There were some points where it could be cut with a hacksaw and it still would have taken some work Though it got frustrating towards the end because it was never explained why they couldn't be a couple in the first place other than that's a no noEve started off very innocent and sweet and I don't mean that as a compliment There was bearly any spunk to her at all Her friends dictated her life in terms of going out and being social Personally I wanted her to have a bit personality When things started going it didn't get any better because everyone kept everything from her always There were small tidbits here and there that she would overhear but it never made much sense because she didn't know any background on anything anyway This trope of keeping the main character in the dark with the reader is one of the tropes that can go so wrong when not done properly I think the story would have been better had this been executed betterAsher was a mysterious and standoffish character that I disliked at first His tender moments eventually overpowered his bad moments and I concluded that he was the lesser of two evils It's implied that he's still keeping a big secret from Eve and I'm close to pulling my hair out in annoyance due to all the secrets making up this story Can everyone ever get on the same page?I had an inkling that something was going to go wrong with their idiotic plan at the end I wasn't surprised if I'm honest Most of the girls Eve hung out with throughout the novel didn't really stand out to me They all blurred into one except the B with an itch whose name I don't care to remember she can go die in a ditch somewhere for all she adds to the storyThe Audio Book I've seen a lot of criticism thrown this narrator's way and I have to disagree I really enjoy her narrations She has a good enough range where each character has a distinctive voice and accent which means I don't get lost in conversations with 3 people Personally she reads at a slower pace than I find comfortable so I fixed that by speeding the audio book up to x125 What we can take away from this narration is that taste is subjective and that's totally fine Everything will not be for everyone

paranormal appropriate for ages 18 Sorry guys I wanted to like this book The writing was technically sound Look at me trying to sound all smart and crap What I mean by that is the storyline was good I didn’t find any errors with regards to plot holes or grammar But it was soooooo slow It would build up and then let me down Which is goodsometimes But after the third or fourth build up with nothing to show for it I lost my patience Maybe I am just an impatient readerOkay the love story He is forbidden from being with her because of some oath but we never find out what exactly that oath is or if there is a way around it This really had me confused They kept having these moments when you knew they wanted to commence with the loving but he always backed down with “We can’t” I’m paraphrasing The fact that she didn’t try to find out why really bugged me She just accepted it It was hard to read at timesSome of the dialogue was choppy too Like the conversations were all over the place and didn’t transition properly for me That could be me I don’t know But when they were talking to her her responses didn’t seem like she was tracking the same things if that makes senseI will say that the idea was a great one Gargoyles as protectors? What a fantastic idea I’d certainly never read a book about gargoyles before at least not with a positive spin The potential was there the pacing just wasn’t And in the end that’s what killed it for me Too much suspense not enough progressionI don’t like to write these reviews But I will say this I am all about redemption so I WILL be reading a different book by this author because one bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch

At the time that I read this series I wasn't into writing reviews on books At no point did I find it necessary to do so However I so regret that decision because now I wish I had my words to reflect back on and for others to share them with me But I do know that I whole heartily loved this book and the 4 others after it If you decided to read this book please go into it with an open mind and let this author take you on a journey like no other has before Happy reading too you all
